Impress Your Guests with a Spectacular Crystal Chandelier

The crystal chandelier has long been the paragon for classic style and taste. Any home adorned with this crystal medallion is both stylish and impressive, and not just because of the chandelier’s appeal, but the price tag that accompanies it as well. Nevertheless, if you want to shower your guests with crystalline luminescence, here are some helpful guidelines to consider.

Choosing the size and height

There are plenty of considerations when shopping for a crystal chandelier, but like shopping for other furniture, you have to determine the size of the piece you want. The size of the chandelier is often relative to the size of the room you're placing it in. If you have a small space, choosing a small to mid-sized chandelier is the safest option. You don’t have to place a large chandelier on a small space; otherwise it will appear overbearing.

Remember to measure the width and length, as well as the height, of your space. The height, in addition, is the most important measurement because it will dictate the cord length of your crystal chandelier. While many manufacturers supply adjustable cord length, it will still be helpful to know how tall your ceiling is to avoid extra cord from jutting out.

Choosing the bulbs

You can choose the number of bulbs you want your chandelier to have. But remember that you have to settle on a range since you cannot dictate a chandelier to have a specific number of light bulbs. If you want the chandelier to be the main source of lighting, opt for a significant number. If you only want it as the focal point and have other light sources in the room, choosing a piece with fewer light bulbs is an alternative.

Choosing the crystals

The type of crystals you want is contingent on how much you are willing to spend for the piece. Crystals adorned on chandeliers are made from various materials. Each has its own characteristics and price range. If you want to save money on the purchase, choosing synthetic crystals is a wonderful option.

If you want to splurge on your crystal chandelier, on the other hand, a piece with festoons of Swarovski teardrops is one of the best choices. For a more natural look, however, you can choose a chandelier decorated with volcanic rock beads important from other countries. There are other factors that can affect the crystals. Craftsmanship and the source location are just two examples. So before you shop for your chandelier, make sure that you’ve finished your research in order to help you better spot the best one for your home.
